NSW Police have charged a seventh person in relation to an ongoing alleged drug supply operation in the Illawarra.
Police have already charged six people with 33 offences and claim they have dismantled a large-scale drug syndicate that was operating in the region.
A NSW Police spokesperson said Lake Illawarra Police District detectives established Strike Force Yetna in October 2025 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs.
On Thursday (22 January) detectives executed nine search warrants across properties in Farmborough Heights, Albion Park, Albion Park Rail, Primbee and Warilla.
The operation resulted in the arrests and charging of six people who remain before the courts.
The police spokesperson alleged more than half a million dollars in drugs and profits were confiscated after the raids.
About 7 am on Friday (30 January), a 35-year-old man was arrested at Wollongong Police Station.
He was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity, possess prohibited weapon without permission and recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime less than or equal to $5000.
He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Court 3 on Friday, where he was granted conditional bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 1 April.
