Police are asking for the public to help them find a man missing from Wollongong.

Waine Turner, aged 52, was last seen at Fairy Meadow at about 7:30 am on Tuesday (16 December).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

There are concerns for his welfare as he lives with a number of health issues.

Waine is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180 cm tall, with a solid build and shoulder-length white hair.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, a dark-coloured cap and black and yellow shoes.

Waine is known to frequent the Sydney, Sutherland Shire, Corrimal and Wollongong areas.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call Wollongong Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
