A man has been charged following an alleged break and enter in Fairy Meadow.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that at about 8 pm on Monday (10 March) police responded to a unit in Meadow Street, Fairy Meadow, following reports of an alleged break and enter.
“NSW Ambulance responded and treated a 25-year-old man for a stab wound to the arm,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.
“He was taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment – the injury is not considered life-threatening.”
Police allege the offender fled the scene before officers attached to Wollongong Police District responded and established a crime scene.
“Following inquiries, about 9:55 pm on Tuesday 11 March police attended a home in Rothery Street, Bellambi,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.
“A 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station.
“He was charged with specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent to wound.”
The man was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday (12 March).
