The M1 Princes Motorway and Picton Road will be closed to all traffic over multiple nights for ongoing work on the Mt Ousley Interchange.
The motorway will be closed from Bulli Pass to Memorial Drive and Picton Road will be closed between the motorway and Almond Street at Wilton.
Work during the closures will include vegetation removal, installation of barriers and signs, the removal of signs, gantries and guardrails, drainage work, relocation of utilities and building site access gates.
During the closures Transport for NSW will also carry out road repairs and resurfacing, vegetation maintenance, guardrail repairs, clearing gutters and drains and litter collection.
Weather permitting, the roads will be closed between 8 pm and 4 am on:
- Sunday 25, Monday 26 and Wednesday 28 May
- Sunday 1, Monday 2 and Wednesday 4 June.
Light and heavy vehicles less than 19 m long and under 50.5 tonnes travelling between Wollongong and Bulli Tops can detour via Memorial Drive and Bulli Pass, however heavy vehicles will not be able to access Bulli Pass and are advised to delay their journey or they will be parked.
Road users travelling between Wollongong and the Hume Motorway can detour via Memorial Drive, Bulli Pass, Appin Road or the Illawarra Highway. Light vehicles can also detour via Wilton Road.
