A man has died after he was hit by a car at Croom over the weekend.
A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the M1 Princes Highway at Croom, about eight kilometres west of Shellharbour, about 11:10 pm on Saturday (6 September), following reports of a crash.
“Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District arrived to find a man had been hit by a car,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.
“The man – believed to be in his 40s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
“He is yet to be formally identified.”
The NSW Police spokesperson said the driver of the car, a 46-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and have begun inquiries into the cause of the crash.
