A Helensburgh man has been arrested and charged with supplying commercial quantities of drugs.
A NSW Police spokesperson said about 9 am on Friday (19 September), officers arrested the 56-year-old man in Cemetery Road, Helensburgh, and seized two resealable bags of cocaine.
A short time later, Wollongong officers executed two search warrants at a home and storage shed in Helensburgh.
“Police seized cocaine, cannabis and a caravan from the home, which police will allege are the proceeds of crime,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.
“Police also seized cannabis, cocaine, MDMA and $89,500 cash from the storage shed.
“The 56-year-old man was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with 11 offences.
“The included supplying a prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity, eight counts of supplying a prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity and two counts of dealing with the proceeds of crime.”
The arrest coincides with a high-visibility policing operation involving the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, Wollongong Police District Proactive Crime Team and Southern Region Enforcement Squad in Helensburgh.
Strike Force Template was established in January 2025 to investigate the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in Helensburgh.
