A man has been charged with more than 40 offences following a police search at a home in Warilla.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that at about 6:50 am on Wednesday (25 February) officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District executed a search warrant at a property in Anthony Street, Warilla.
“During the search, police seized a large number of items, including two dozen sets of house and car keys, stolen driver’s licences and passport, and house breaking implements,” the NSW Police spokesperson alleged.
“Officers also seized three electronic devices, which police will allege are used to replicate door keys to enable entry to locked vehicles.”
After the search police arrested a 33-year-old man at the scene.
During his arrest police allegedly seized a knife with a knuckle-duster attachment and a flick-knife from the man.
He was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged with 44 offences, including 31 counts of goods in personal custody believed to have been stolen, stealing a motor vehicle, four counts of armed with intent to commit an indictable offence and four counts of carry a cutting weapon upon apprehension.
The man was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 on Thursday (26 February).
