Kiama’s Terralong Street underbridge is getting a makeover, with renowned Australian artist Jimmy Dvate working on a new mural that celebrates the town’s natural beauty and cultural vibrancy.
Community members and visitors are encouraged to stop by and watch Jimmy’s creative process unfold, with the project expected to be completed later this month.
The mural is supported by Kiama Council as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing public spaces through art and investing in Creative Kiama’s vision for a thriving, inclusive, and culturally rich community.
Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald said the mural would transform the Terralong Street underbridge into a landmark that reflected Kiama’s creative energy and natural beauty.
“Public art like this helps build a strong sense of place, community pride, and cultural identity,” he said.
Jimmy is a celebrated contemporary artist best known for his large-scale murals and contributions to Australia’s public art landscape.
