Child in critical condition after Warrawong crash

A 12-year-old boy was flown to Randwick Hospital in a critical condition this morning.

A NSW Police spokesperson said about 1:15 am on Tuesday, 28 October the child, who was riding a bicycle, collided with the trailer of an A-double truck at King Street, Warrawong.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man was taken to Shellharbour Hospital for mandatory testing.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing and police are appealing for information.
