A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged with drug supply after a police raid on a Cordeaux Heights home.
A NSW Police spokesperson alleged Raptor Squad officers discovered more than $1 million in cash, and prohibited drugs in the home as part of Strike Force Meadow.
“Strike Force Meadow was established by State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad South to investigate the alleged drug supply activities of a 50-year-old man throughout the Illawarra,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.
“Following extensive inquiries, about 7 am on Thursday (6 February) Raptor Squad South executed a search warrant in Cordeaux Heights.
“During a search of the home, police [allegedly] located $228,050 cash, 434 grams of cannabis, 26 grams of cocaine, drug packaging, scales and nunchaku.
“Inside a roof cavity police located a further $820,000 cash in two large bags,” the spokesperson alleged.
“A 50-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with dealing with property proceeds of crime of more than $100,000, supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supplying prohibited drug in a less than indictable quantity, and possessing prohibited drugs.”
The man was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today (7 February).
