A 79-year-old man has died several weeks after an alleged assault on the NSW South Coast.

A NSW Police spokesperson said that at about 1:25 pm on 17 March, emergency services were called to Moona Creek Road at Vincentia (about seven kilometres north of Sanctuary Point).

The spokesperson said the occupants of a Toyota Corolla attempted to speak to the female driver of a Ford Territory.

She allegedly assaulted the 79-year-old man, causing him to fall.
