A NSW Police spokesperson said a 44-year-old man will face Wollongong Local Court charged with three counts of steal property as a clerk or servant, dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception and knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime.
Police will allege in court that the offences took place while the man was an employee of a Stewart Street business and came to a total of more than $395,000.

“Following extensive inquiries, about 4:30 pm on Monday 2 June 2025 officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped a vehicle on the Princes Highway, Maddens Plains, near Bulli Pass, and arrested the 44-year-old man.
“He was taken to Wollongong Police Station, charged and refused bail.
