UPDATED 7 February, 11:39 am: A NSW Police spokesperson said the 11-year-old boy last seen near the North Wollongong Rock Pools has been found safe and well.

7 February, 8:20 am: Police are asking for the public’s help to find a boy missing from Wollongong.

Cooper Morley, aged 11, was last seen near the North Wollongong rock pools at about 2 pm on Wednesday (5 February).

When he failed to return home and could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts, a NSW Police spokesperson said.

“Police and family hold concerns for Cooper’s welfare due to his young age,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.

“Cooper is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140 cm tall, of thin build, with light brown hair and blue eyes.

“He was last seen wearing red shorts, a white t-shirt and a baseball cap.

“He is known to frequent the Wollongong and Fairy Meadow areas.

“Inquiries established he was in the Fairy Meadow area around 2:40 pm on Thursday (6 February).”

Anyone who sees Cooper or knows his whereabouts is urged to contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
