UPDATE 11 SEPTEMBER 2025: A NSW Police spokesperson said a 55-year-old man who went missing from the Shellharbour area has been found safe.
Police thanked the community for their help.
10 SEPTEMBER 2025: Police have asked for the public’s help in their search for a man missing from the Shellharbour area.
Wayne Neaves, aged 55, was last seen in Shellharbour, at about 12 pm on Friday 29 August 2025.
Family have been unable to find or contact Wayne since then, and notified officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District, who began inquiries to find him.
Police and family hold concerns for Wayne’s welfare.
Wayne is described as having a tanned complexion, about 185 cm tall with a large build, and having short black and grey hair.
Wayne is known to frequent the Oak Flats and Albion Park areas.
Anyone with information in relation to Wayne’s whereabouts is urged to contact Lake Illawarra Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
