Man, 41, killed in e-scooter crash at Kanahooka

A 41-year-old man has died in an e-scooter accident at Kanahooka on Friday night.

NSW Police believe the man fell from the e-scooter onto the road, suffering serious injuries, before he was struck by a passing vehicle.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kanahooka Road and Brolga Street about 7 pm on Friday (16 May).

Passersby attempted to help the scooter rider before paramedics arrived, however he died at the scene.

The 59-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing before being taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
