A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Primbee.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the intersection of Windang Road and Bakers Lane, Primbee, at about 6 pm on Tuesday (27 May), following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

“NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man – believed to be aged in his 70s – however, he died at the scene,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.

“The driver of the vehicle – a 57-year-old woman – was not injured and taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory testing.

“Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.”

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
