Australia’s favourite songstress Missy Higgins will cap off a huge year with her long-awaited return to a day on the green at Bowral in November.
For the past five months Missy’s travelled throughout the country on her The Second Act Tour, which celebrates 20 years since her first album, “The Sound of White” was released.
In November, she will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, joining stars such as AC/DC, INXS, John Farnham, Jet and Olivia Newton John, to name a few.
Her new album, “The Second Act”, will be released on 6 September.
General tickets for the Bowral day on the green show go on sale on Tuesday 3 September at 11 am.
She will also perform at a day on the green in Queensland and South Australia, marking the first time she’s headlined since 2006.
“I never imagined it would take me most of 2024 to do this Australian tour,” she says.
“It’s been such a great experience on every level that I’m glad the band and I will get to share it a few more times with all these big crowds.
“There have been lots of fans posting about how disappointed they were to miss out on getting a chance to see this two-act show so now they’ll have no excuse!”
Missy’s The Second Act Tour – Final Encore Shows will also feature Kate Miller-Heidke and Ruby Fields.
Kate is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has released five top 10 studio albums.
With her collaborator Keir Nuttall, she wrote the music and lyrics to Muriel’s Wedding: The Musical, which won five Helpmann Awards including Best Original Score, and the musical comedy Bananaland.
Kate represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Competition in 2019 with her original song, Zero Gravity, achieving first place in her semi-final, top 10 in the grand final, and winning the coveted Marcel Bezançon Award for Artistic Achievement.
Ruby gained national attention in 2017 and established herself as a singer-songwriter with singles I Want, P Plates and her 2021 debut album, “Been Doin’ It For A Bit”.
Missy Higgins performs at a day on the green, Centennial Vineyards Bowral, on Saturday 30 November. Tickets on sale 11 am, Tuesday 3 September from Ticketmaster.
