Motorists in the Albion Park and Oak Flats areas will be impacted by roadworks this week on Tongarra Road and the M1 Princes Motorway.
Excavation and resurfacing work will be carried out on Tongarra Road, Albion Park, between the motorway northbound off-ramp and Terry Street. The work will be done between 7 pm and 4 am from Tuesday, 30 September, to Thursday, 2 October, and Sunday 12 to Sunday 19 October, weather permitting.
No work will take place over the long weekend.
During work, single-lane closures, stop/slow traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place.
Traffic control will be onsite from 5 pm to ensure the road is clear, and vehicles will not be permitted to park on the road overnight.
Motorists are advised to allow up to 10 minutes’ additional travel time.
The bus stops on Tongarra Road will remain open, but may be temporarily relocated while work is carried out on the section of road directly in front of a stop.
Traffic controllers will be onsite to assist public transport users, pedestrians and cyclists, and to maintain access to businesses.
