Police believe occupants of blue Commodore could help crack robbery case

Have you seen a blue station wagon with a white petrol cap? You might be able to help police solve a robbery.

NSW Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly broke into a Wollongong home, assaulted the resident and took cash.

“At about 11:30 pm on Monday 1 April 2024, emergency services were called to Mowbray Lane, Wollongong, following reports of a robbery,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

“On arrival, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were told a 24-year-old woman had been assaulted by a man who left with cash. The woman had minor injuries and did not require further treatment.

“Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

“At about 9 am on Monday 6 May 2024, Lake Illawarra police received reports an e-bike had been stolen from Windang Road, Windang.

“Strike Force Coppin was established by detectives to investigate both incidents.”

On Thursday 30 May 2024, police released images and CCTV footage of a blue Holden VZ Commodore station wagon with a distinctive white petrol cap.

Investigators believe the occupants of the vehicle may be able to help them with their enquiries.
