Motorists using Bulli Pass and Wollongong’s Springhill Road will face road closures and traffic delays starting from Monday (1 September).

Road resurfacing work will be carried out on Springhill Road southbound, between Masters Road and Entry Road (Lysaghts), from Monday to Thursday, 4 September, and Sunday, 7 September (weather permitting).

During work, single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place.

Work will be carried out between 7:30 pm and 5 am to minimise traffic impacts.

On Thursday and Sunday nights, work will be carried out at the intersection of Springhill Road and Masters Road.

During the work, traffic on Masters Road will only be able to turn left onto Springhill Road. All other vehicle movements at the intersection will be restricted.

A detour via Five Islands Road will add up to 10 minutes to travel times.

Meanwhile, the Princes Highway at Bulli Pass will be closed for up to three days for maintenance work.

The Pass will be closed in both directions between Lawrence Hargrave Drive and the M1 Princes Motorway from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, 2 September, and Wednesday, 3 September, weather permitting.

If work is delayed, work will continue between 9 am and 3 pm on Thursday, 4 September.

Work will include road repairs and resurfacing, maintaining signage, vegetation and safety barriers, clearing gutters and drains, and litter collection to improve safety for road users.

During work, detours will be in place via either Lawrence Hargrave Drive or the M1 Princes Motorway and Memorial Drive.

Motorists are advised to allow an additional 20 minutes’ travel time.
