Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Cat of the week: Amelia
Meet Amelia!
Amelia is a gentle tortoiseshell searching for a quiet home of her own.
A little shy, Amelia might need a little time to show you her love, but with some patience and kindness, she’ll be sure to show you how loving and loyal she can be.
At seven years old, Amelia would be best suited to a calmer, low-noise household, where she won’t be startled by loud sounds or sudden activity.
Amelia’s walls start to come down when you allow her to take in any new smells, sounds, and routines at her own pace.
A comfy bed, a litter tray, and a scratching post are all she needs to help her feel secure.
This slow introduction gives her the time to build trust and connection with not only new spaces, but with human companions as well.
Once she feels safe, she’s sure to stake her claim on a sunbeam or windowsill for long, lazy naps or to simply watch the world go by.
If you think you’re ready to give her a loving home this holiday season, consider adopting Amelia or giving her the gift of foster care.

Cat of the week: Charlie
Meet Charlie!
This cuddly tabby cat is looking to enjoy the warmth and comfort of a new forever home.
Ready to bring his steady presence to the family of his dreams, seven-year-old Charlie is the kind of cat who doesn’t demand attention but is happy to lap it up when you’re ready.
Charlie is still hopeful he will find his forever family in time to share in the holiday cheer with them.
Independent yet affectionate, he has no problem being around children, making him well suited to any family that treats him kindly and respects his space.
Like many cats, Charlie enjoys the comfort of routine, but his lack of teeth means he’ll need soft meals that are gentle on his gums.
Although he’s curious enough to investigate new sights and spaces, he’s just as content to curl up on your lap and enjoy a quiet moment with his friends.
If you’re searching for a loyal companion who is always ready to greet you with a cuddle, come give Charlie a visit.
