Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter
Dog of the week: Frankie
Meet Frankie!
Frankie is a beautiful, eight-month-old cattle dog looking for her new home.
She would suit a home with owners who know a bit about cattle dogs and their needs.
She’d love a home where she is included as part of the family with her own comfy bed to relax in.
Being a cattle dog means that you get both brains and beauty in one package – that’s why activities to keep Frankie occupied when left alone, and ongoing training, are so important.
It just so happens that training sessions are one of Frankie’s favourite activities, mostly because it means there are delicious treats nearby.
Frankie is excited about daily exercise and playtime with her new family.
As she is a young and energetic pup, it’s best if any children in the home are on the older side and confident around dogs, as Frankie doesn’t have much experience with kids and is still learning when playtime is over.
Frankie is a sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs.
A dog that is a bit older and calmer than her would be the perfect companion to teach her some doggy manners and show her how to adjust to a home environment.
On top of being as cute as a button, Frankie is famous for her sweet puppy kisses and affectionate side. If you’re after a kind, cuddly girl who can grow up by your side, look no further!
Cat of the week: Ralphee
Meet Ralphee!
Ralphee is an eight-year-old female tabby with plenty of sass and charm.
A gentle soul, Ralphee came into care through no fault of her own.
Since arriving in care, she has stolen the hearts of the staff with her loving nature, diva-tude, and certified RGF – resting grumpy face.
Move over, grumpy cat, there’s a new gal in town!
Though it may look like nothing pleases this sassy lady, Ralphee loves a cuddle and is very loyal to her human friends.
She has a big heart and is always ready for loving pats and a chance to show off her affectionate side.
Admittedly, Ralphee isn’t a big fan of sharing the spotlight and has limited patience for her own kind. It’s best she remains the only feline in her new home so she can be the true star of the show.
At eight years old, Ralphee brings a unique kind of love and companionship.
Older pets are often calmer, more experienced, and better suited to the homes of adults who are without young children and are looking for a laid-back companion to join the family.
If you’re looking for a loyal and gentle pet, Ralphee is ready to start this new journey with you!
Last week’s Dog of the Week, Marlo, has found her forever home – but cat Alvin is still on the prowl for his.
