Dog of the week: Jax
Meet Jax!
Jax is a three-year-old Australian kelpie who has a heart overflowing with love!
This beautiful boy didn’t have the easiest start in life, but he hasn’t let that fact dull his capacity to care.
With an experienced, understanding and patient human at his side, Jax is ready to begin a new chapter in a forever home of his own.
Jax is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and secure.
He’s a sweet and sensitive boy who is still learning to feel confident around new people, but exercise and play are the key to his heart!
His ideal home would have a secure backyard perfect for an active dog like Jax to run, play fetch, and stretch his legs to his heart’s content.
Jax has spent more than 270 days in care, eagerly waiting to meet his forever person.
What Jax wants more than anything is someone who understands his needs and loves him for who he is.
In return, he promises to be a loyal and loving forever friend.
If you think you could be the special someone he’s been waiting for, get in touch with the friendly shelter staff today!

Cat of the week: Matilda
Meet Matilda!
Matilda is a soft-hearted one-year-old domestic short hair waiting to meet her perfect match.
This sweet-natured girl may be a little shy at first, but with a patient hand and a quiet home, Matilda will blossom into a devoted and affectionate feline friend.
When she first arrived at the RSPCA the hustle and bustle of her new surroundings were a little overwhelming for Matilda.
Thanks to plenty of TLC from the welcoming animal care team, Matilda has been slowly finding her footing and coming out of her shell.
Now she’s on the lookout for a loving home and a gentle human companion who will help her feel safe, secure, and comfortable with herself.
Matilda thrives in quiet spaces without too much noise or commotion, so she would prefer a calm household without younger children.
Once she feels settled, she adores gentle pats, soft beds, and cozy cuddle sessions — especially if there’s a warm lap involved!
With time, patience, kindness, and a tasty treat or two, Matilda is sure to reward you with her loyalty, quiet adoration, and tender affection.
If you’re someone who believes in love growing at its own pace, Matilda might just be your perfect match.
