Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Dog of the week: Juno
Meet Juno!
Juno is a beautiful Staffordshire bull terrier and German shepherd mix eagerly awaiting the day she meets her perfect match.
Only six years old, Juno enjoys relaxing with friends she trusts, whether that means cozying up indoors or enjoying daily walks with a familiar face.
Although she isn’t the kind of dog to demand constant cuddles from her owner, she’d be delighted to spend her evenings by your side.
Juno would do best in a calm home where she can enjoy some peace and quiet.
She prefers her personal space and may not always be in the mood to be with other dogs or children under 12.
Busy dog parks and off-leash areas aren’t her scene, as she prefers more relaxed outings or walks that allow her to enjoy her surroundings without feeling rushed by other dogs.
If Juno sounds like the calm canine companion of your dreams, she’s currently available for adoption at the Illawarra RSPCA.

Dog of the week: Ryder
Meet Ryder!
Ryder is a Staffordshire bull terrier and Great Dane mix looking for a loving, attentive home.
Just six months old, Ryder is looking for a family willing to help him build his confidence and find his place in the world.
As he is still learning about the world around him, and getting used to other people and dogs, a quiet household with fewer distractions will help him feel safe and secure.
While Ryder can be a little nervous around loud noises or sudden movements, his carers are happy to report that he’s gaining more confidence with each passing day.
With time, attention, patience, and positive reinforcement, you can help Ryder realise his dream of becoming a well-rounded, loving companion.
Ryder would love to be included in your daily adventures, whether you’re exploring, going on a walk, or enjoying some quiet time at home.
Ryder would also benefit from exposure to other humans and friendly dogs to help him develop his social skills and become familiar with people and pets.
If you have children or another dog at home, call the RSPCA to arrange a meet-and-greet at the shelter to see if they get along with Ryder.
Whether you’re looking to adopt a pet or provide him with support as a foster carer, Ryder may just be the perfect fit for you!
Visit the RSPCA at 54 Industrial Rd, Unanderra, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it! Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 3:30 pm. Closed Mondays and public holidays. Call 4271 3410.
