Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Dog of the week: Sadie
Meet Sadie!
Sadie is a seven-year-old mastiff who has spent more than 120 days in care.
Toilet-trained, well-behaved, and with more than a few tricks mastered already, Sadie is a clever and well-mannered dog.
All she needs is for you to be home more often than not; in return, she’ll provide you with loyalty, comforting cuddles, and affection.
Sadie loves lounging on a sunny patch and snuggling under a cozy blanket. She’s a relaxed lady who will greet you with a gently wagging tail and big, puppy dog eyes.
She also loves a car ride and a gentle walk. She is fully toilet trained and is friendly with other dogs and children.
Whether it is a relaxing day at home, sitting at a cafe or a light stroll along the beach, Sadie will be a delightful addition to your everyday life.
Her ideal family is patient, loving, and able to give her a predictable schedule; in return she will give you endless love and companionship.
If you’re seeking a loyal, affectionate big dog who will be your quiet, comforting friend, Sadie would love to meet you.

Cat of the week: Lukey
Meet Lukey!
Lukey is a three-year-old domestic short haired cat.
For anyone searching for a feline friend that can thrive in a quiet home, look no further than easygoing Lukey.
He prefers relaxation and snuggles to high-energy play, and promises to be a loyal but low-maintenance companion.
He’s a fan of taking naps under sunlit windows and occasional pats from people he trusts.
He enjoys quiet play, routine, and a quiet place to retreat to when things get a bit too much.
Lukey is good with children of all ages, but would prefer a home with no other cats.
If you’re seeking a friendly, adaptable companion who thrives in a steady home, Lukey might be the one for you.
March is National Pet Adoption Month.
For every cat or dog adopted from an RSPCA shelter throughout March, Royal Canin will contribute $100 to that shelter, meaning more animals can receive the love and care they deserve.
In addition, Royal Canin will send new adopters home with a free bag of pet food if they find their perfect match at the RSPCA this month. This means, if you decide to take an animal such as Lukey or Sadie home, it will be easier than ever to help them settle in!
Previously featured RSPCA Cat of the Week Shadow has found his forever home, while dog Feather is still on the hunt for hers.
