Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Dog of the week: Teddy
Meet Teddy!
Teddy is a spirited six-year-old dalmation with a heart full of love and a zest for life!
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s as energetic as he is affectionate, Teddy, aka “Teddy Bear” or “Tedzilla,” could be the perfect fit for the spot in your heart – and on your couch.
Dalmatians are known for their intelligence, energy, and strong personalities, and Teddy is no exception.
He thrives in an environment where he can be the centre of attention and engage in activities that challenge his mind and body.
Due to his high energy levels, Teddy would do best in a home without small animals or cats.
He’s also selective about his canine friends, so introductions to other dogs should be done carefully.
A spacious yard where he can play and explore would be ideal for this active boy.
Teddy is looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, as he thrives on companionship and routine.
He would be best suited to a family with children aged 15 and over, and ideally, someone experienced with dalmatians or similar breeds.
If you’re ready to welcome a spirited and loving companion into your life, Teddy might just be the perfect fit.

Duck of the week: Arthur
Meet Arthur!
Arthur is a delightful male mallard who is ready to add a splash of personality and charm to your life.
Arthur is a sociable and spirited fowl who loves to swim, forage, and quack around to his heart’s content.
While he may not be a conventional pet, Arthur promises to bring a delightful touch of nature to your home.
Arthur is seeking a forever home where he can truly spread his wings.
Being a mallard, he loves water and enjoys a good swim.
If you have a small pond or a large water dish Arthur would be delighted. If you have experience with ducks or similar breeds, that’s a big plus.
Arthur promises to bring lots of joy and laughter to your life. He’s excited to meet you and make wonderful memories together.
Arthur is comfortable around children and gets along with everyone he meets.
In exchange for a loving home, Arthur pledges to provide a soothing presence with his gentle quacking.
No bludger, he will also help control pesky insects in your garden.
