Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Dog of the week: Zorro
Zorro is an energetic Australian cattle dog with a love for adventure!
At just three years old, Zorro is patiently waiting for the day he meets someone with a shared enthusiasm for life.
Like many dogs of his breed, Zorro is incredibly intelligent and thrives when both his body and mind are active and frequently engaged. Not one to sit still for very long, he’s happiest when learning, exploring, and taking on new challenges with his person.
Ongoing training, enrichment activities and shared experiences with his new family members will help bring out his very best and create some truly unforgettable memories.
Due to his energy and focus, Zorro would be best suited to families with children aged over 15. He’s also looking to be the only pet in the household, as he aims to build strong, one-on-one bonds and soak up all the attention from his family.
Outdoor access and breed-savvy adopters who understand the needs of an Australian cattle dog will help set him up for success and a happy, balanced lifestyle.
For the right person, this pup offers something truly unique: unwavering loyalty, a sharp and hungry mind and companionship built on trust and a passion for adventure.

Cat of the week: Chino
Chino is a three-year-old cat waiting to be welcomed into a home she can call her own.
She is searching for a family that she can get to know at her own pace. Having struck the perfect balance between curiosity and her laid-back personality, Chino will be just as happy napping in a sunbeam as she is playing with humans she trusts.
Her ideal home is one that offers predictability, cozy hiding spots and a welcoming lap to curl into when she’s in the mood for human affection.
Chino would be best suited to a family (including households with children) who understand the importance of patience and gentle interaction.
She may be a little independent at first, but she’s one of those pets who take a bit more time to form strong, meaningful bonds, rewarding trust with soft purrs and affectionate head nudges.
If you’ve been on the lookout for a laid-back cat who offers both affection and quiet company, Chino might just be the perfect match for you.
