Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes while at the RSPCA Illawarra Shelter.
Dog of the week: Pudgy
Not every dog needs to be the centre of attention. For dogs like Pudgy, the happiest moments are spent simply being by their human’s side.
The beautiful four-year-old American bulldog takes pride in not being too demanding. She enjoys exploring the yard as much as she loves a good stretch on the couch.
No matter what she’s doing, Pudgy is happiest among good company, needing only predictable routines and patient, positive instruction to thrive.
She also loves having opportunities to engage with and learn about the world, whether that’s through a little puzzle, taking a walk with friends or sniffing around new spaces at her own pace.

Cat of the week: Scruffy
Some cats are soft spoken, others demand all the attention in the room: Scruffy’s quiet confidence puts her in the sweet spot in the middle.
This gorgeous six-year-old tabby has a calm presence that makes her an especially lovely companion for someone looking for a pet who knows how to make a space their own.
Scruffy enjoys good conversation, even if her chirps are a little gentler than most. She takes her time getting to know new people, always listening before leaping, but she is always open to making new friends at her own pace.
Scruffy is equally happy enjoying a nap by the window as she is swiping at her favourite toys. She is certain to thrive in a peaceful household where she can take some quiet days to settle in.
