A man will face court after a police chase from Dapto to Unanderra that ended in a crash.

A NSW Police spokesperson said that at about 1:30 pm on Thursday (24 July) police attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command observed an allegedly stolen Porsche travelling north on the M1 Motorway, Dapto.

“Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and when it allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.

“The pursuit was terminated at Investigator Drive, Unanderra after police lost sight of the vehicle.

“A short time later, the vehicle was sighted on Berkeley Road, Unanderra where the pursuit was reengaged, before the vehicle collided with another car at the intersection of Lady Penrhyn Drive and crashed into a pole.

“There were no reports of injuries.”
