Three Illawarra regulars on the awards circuit have claimed recognition once more at the 2025 AusMumpreneur Awards.

Author Dr Danielle Camer received an Honourable Mention for Author of the Year, Two Face Investigators founder Kylee Dennis picked up Bronze in the Women Changing the World category and Banksia Support Services founder Amy Hall took out Gold for Leadership and Silver for Disability Services.

All three women are already multi-award winners in programs including the Women Changing the World Awards, Illawarra Women in Business Awards and Illawarra Business Awards.

Amy, who is again a finalist in the 2025 Business Illawarra Awards for Outstanding Business Leader, Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Microbusiness, says the wins have not come overnight.

“It’s really lovely recognition for a hard job, especially in the context of significant reform in the NDIS world that feels like you’re wearing ballet shoes on a floor made of quicksand,” she says.

“I go for these awards so I have the chance to get on stage and talk about the people whose lives we’ve impacted. It’s all part of a plan to give a platform for people who too often don’t have one.”

The success of three Illawarra women in the same year was not lost on Amy.

“In the Illawarra we have incredible women working hard to literally change the world for the better. Here you have three women who’ve made a notable impact in their respective industries and we’re nothing but supportive of each other. I think Danielle and Kylee are amazing,” she says.

For Kylee, the true honour lies in giving a voice to the victims she supports.

“My awards are not for me, they’re for the victims who come to me to share their stories and stand up against scamming,” she said. “Any awards I accept, I accept on behalf of them.”

The celebrations also coincided with the launch of the Dreams & Determination anthology, published by Women Changing the World Press, which features chapters by both Kylee and Danielle. Danielle has also contributed to the soon-to-launch Authenticity & Action Anthology, showing no signs of slowing down.

The AusMumpreneur Awards, presented by The Women’s Business School, celebrate Australian mums in business who achieve outstanding success across areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.

For Danielle, it took a switch to being “a ‘yes’ person with boundaries”.

“Although I sometimes work long hours or late nights, the trade-off is the freedom to prioritise important life moments during business hours, such as attending my daughter’s school assemblies whenever she receives awards,” she says.

“As a widowed parent, I also recognise the importance of having a village. My parents play a significant role in my daughter’s life, and I’m deeply grateful for their ongoing help and support.”
