A third teenager has been charged following an alleged stabbing in October.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to a park on Burelli Street, Wollongong, at about 10 pm on Thursday 31 October, following reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attached to Wollongong Police District attended and were told a group of people were allegedly involved in a brawl, before a teenage boy, aged 16, was stabbed multiple times,” the NSW Police spokesperson said.

“The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

“Following inquiries, at about 3 pm on Wednesday (13 November), a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Figtree.

“He was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with affray.”

The boy was refused bail to appear before a Children’s Court today (14 November).
