From fun crafts to creative arts, hands-on nature play to sports and a range of educational workshops (fun ones, we promise), stretching across the entire region, you’ll be spoiled for choice as to what to do from one day to the next.

Green Connect Farm Play and Picnic Day

What better way is there for your littlies to spend three hours than in Green Connect’s beautiful Children’s Garden, where they have lots of choices for free play including a sandpit, mud kitchen, recycled and natural loose parts and more. You’ll also head out on two mini farm tours, offered in small groups throughout the session, to meet and feed the Green Connect pigs, sheep, goats and chickens, explore the organic market gardens, smell their compost and learn a bit about how the farm grows food sustainably. Each of the popular Curiosity Days features a different theme, from robot hacking to LEGO filmmaking. Plus, every child receives a certificate of participation and a $5 gift voucher for the Science Shop.

Bundanon, a family-friendly destination for art, nature, workshops, concerts and more, has activities lined up for all ages these school holidays. Creative Play – a free interactive experience designed by the internationally renowned artist duo Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan – runs all school holidays, inviting you to dream, build and contribute to an accumulative artwork. For 12- to 18-year-olds, Bundanon Inspire is a free two-day art making program. Lastly, the Family Fun Art Making Workshop includes a guided visit to the Art Museum before families engage in a collaborative creation workshop.

Kiama Golf Club has lined up an afternoon and evening of Easter-themed fun, kicking off with Easter crafts from 3:30 to 5 pm. A kids’ disco kicks in from 6 to 8 pm. Kids also eat free, so it’s the perfect night to grab dinner out, knowing the kids will be entertained.

South Coast Kook is all set to guide participants in creating their own skateboard deck design. Parents are free to assist their child in this workshop, which is free and open to 12- to 24-year-olds – or leave and return later. Each participant will receive a skateboard blank, two free packets of Surfpaint pens, a sketchpad, a pencil, tracing paper and other resources to help with the design process.

Join Burnetts On Barney for a morning of kids’ Easter crafts in the Nursery Glass House these April school holidays. On the Monday, each child will receive a biodegradable cup to decorate, soil and carrot seeds to make a carrot planter, while the Tuesday is all about cupcake decorating, with each child receiving two cupcakes and edible decorations. Burnetts On Barney will have other activities on hand including colouring and Easter-themed craft. All activities are suitable for children aged three to seven.

To celebrate Youth Week 2025, the SENTRAL Youth Services team in Kiama is hosting Youth Fest – an epic day featuring live music, markets and opportunities for connection. See incredible youth bands such as Theta State, The Breakaway, Ded Set and Aadyn & Lucinda on the Orry Kelly Stage, highlighting the amazing talent of our young people. Support young entrepreneurs with market stalls run by youth, where they can exhibit and sell their creative wares including art, jewellery, clothing and more. Local services will be present to share their programs, resources and services for young people.
SENTRAL also has a range of free Youth Week Holiday Activities planned, including kayaking, cinema trips, a visit to Jamberoo Recreation Park, Dungeons and Dragons sessions and outdoor gaming. Spots are limited so check out the program and book ASAP.

On Wednesday 16 April there is a free Easter celebration for the whole family, offering a fun and creative crafternoon you won’t want to miss. There will be free face painting and plenty of craft activities including Easter decorations-making and personalised crafts, great for all ages. The following Wednesday there will be three cupcake decoration sessions. $25 covers the cost of six delicious cupcakes, all the materials needed to decorate them and expert guidance.
