Full night-time closures of the M1 Princes Motorway and Picton Road which were washed out in May will go ahead this weekend.
Both roads will be closed to all traffic between 8 pm and 4 am on Sunday 22 June, Monday 23 June and Wednesday 25 June to allow ongoing work on the Mt Ousley Interchange.
The motorway will be closed from Bulli Pass to Memorial Drive, while Picton Road will be closed between the motorway and Almond Street at Wilton.
Work during the closures will include vegetation removal, installation of barriers and signs, the removal of signs, gantries and guardrails, drainage work, relocation of utilities and building site access gates.
Light and heavy vehicles less than 19 m long and under 50.5 tonnes travelling between Wollongong and Bulli Tops can detour via Memorial Drive and Bulli Pass, however heavy vehicles will not be able to access Bulli Pass and are advised to delay their journey or they will be parked.
Road users travelling between Wollongong and the Hume Motorway can detour via Memorial Drive, Bulli Pass, Appin Road or the Illawarra Highway. Light vehicles can also detour via Wilton Road.

Work on the interchange site this month includes extensive vegetation removal between the motorway and University of Wollongong, as well as excavating material and ground stabilisation work on Mount Ousley Road and Dumfries Avenue.
There will be increased truck movements transporting soil and material between worksites on both sides of the motorway via University Avenue.
Work also continues on the pedestrian bridge over the motorway at Northfields Avenue.
The speed limit on a 1 km northbound section of the M1 at Mt Ousley has been reduced from 80 km/h to 60 km/h.
The speed reduction will be in place between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, starting from north of Northfields Drive.
Meanwhile, up to 23 car spaces of the commuter carpark on Mt Ousley Road will be temporarily closed from Wednesday 18 June until Thursday 26 June.
Ten car spaces will remain open during this time.
