Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes while in care with Wollongong Pet Connection.
Dog of the week: Layla
Layla is a four-year old French bulldog who is incredibly affectionate and just wants to be with her humans all the time.
She has a soft, gentle nature and loves nothing more than curling up like a teddy bear for scratches, tummy rubs and pats. She is absolutely gorgeous in both looks and personality.
Layla is only just beginning to come out of her shell and her playful side is starting to show.
She’s calm, easy‑going and enjoys sitting outside watching the world go by. Layla loves kids of all ages, likes most dogs and walks calmly on a leash.
Although her vision is impaired, she is still able to see.
With love and patience, she will continue to shine. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who wants to be part of everything you do, Layla may be the perfect match.

Cat of the week: Coral
Coral is a delicate little two-year-old who is still learning that the world is safe. She’s very shy and timid, preferring to watch from a distance until she feels she can trust someone.
She isn’t the type to rush into new situations; instead, she takes her time. With someone who understands her gentle nature, Coral has the potential to grow into a loving, loyal companion.
Litter trained and tidy, Coral is perfect for someone who appreciates the quieter side of companionship – a person who doesn’t mind earning love slowly and respectfully.
If you have a soft spot for shy cats and a calm home to offer, Coral may be the perfect match.
To arrange a meet-up with Layla or Coral, fill out the apply to adopt form on the Wollongong City Council website. A council officer will contact you to arrange a meet and greet with your potential new furry friend at a convenient location to you. Layla and Coral come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm checked and lifetime registered.
