Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes while in care with Wollongong Pet Connection.
Dog of the week: Zeus
Meet Zeus!
Zeus is an eight-month-old american staffy cross.
His carers say he is a massive love bug with a unique personality.
Although he is a big boy, Zeus is gentle, soft-hearted, sweet and sensitive.
He lives in foster care with multiple dogs including a young female staffy, a small mixed-breed dog and a German shepherd.
Zeus is deeply submissive to all of them and his carers say his interactions with other dogs are beautiful to watch.
Zeus is calm, gentle, respectful and incredibly loving, stealing human and canine hearts wherever he goes.
He relies on his canine companions for confidence and emotional security.
His foster carer strongly believes that Zeus would greatly benefit from going to a home with at least one friendly, stable dog.
In return his new family will get to lap up all the love Zeus has to offer his human and canine family.
Snowy’s good looks are matched by her bright personality – can she take centre stage in your home? Photo: Wollongong City Council.
Cat of the week: Snowy
Meet Snowy!
Snowy is a three-year-old domestic short haired cat.
She is a gorgeous, spirited little lady who loves to talk!
Whether she’s reminding you it’s dinner time or just giving you her daily commentary, Snowy is chatty and full of personality.
She thrives on attention, affection and a consistent supply of snacks. She is very food‑motivated and not shy about telling you so.
Though confident with people, Snowy can be a bit anxious and flighty in new situations.
With a little time and reassurance, she settles beautifully into her environment and starts to show her playful, affectionate side.
Snowy loves attention, affection and playtime – she hasn’t met a toy she doesn’t like.
She is litter trained and great with routines and food-based training.
Snowy will thrive in an only‑cat household, where her bold, bright personality can take centre stage, just how she likes it!
To arrange a meet-up with Snowy or Zeus, fill out the apply to adopt form on the Wollongong City Council website. A council officer will contact you to arrange a meet and greet with your potential new furry friend at a convenient location to you. Snowy and Zeus come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm checked and lifetime registered.
