Meet our loveable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes while in care with Wollongong Pet Connection.

Dog of the week: Whitney

Meet Whitney!

This four-year-old staffy-kelpie cross loves people and activities – not necessarily in that order.

Playful and energetic, Whitney is leash and toilet trained and responds well to commands.

She is affectionate and gentle with people, and loves to play with dogs larger and smaller than her.

Despite her confident, sociable nature, Whitney is not a fan of cats and will need to go to a home without pocket pets.

Whitney is looking for a family who share her love of playtime and the outdoors, and who will appreciate her cheeky, loving nature.

She is best suited to an active family with children aged 11 or older, who have dog experience and can provide structure, fun, and plenty of love.

Could that be you?

Tibby is looking for a home with peaceful vibes only.

Cat of the week: Tibby

Meet Tibby!

Tibby is a two-year-old domestic short hair cat.

She’s a delicate soul with a heart full of love who is waiting for the right home to help her shine.

A little anxious and very shy at first, with patience and kindness Tibby will warm up and show you her sweet, affectionate side.

Tibby is very food motivated – you could say that treats are her love language.

A gentle girl, she loves feather toys and quiet playtime.

Once she feels safe she’s relaxed, calm and affectionate.

Tibby is litter trained and would thrive as an only pet in a quiet environment.

If you have experience with shy cats and can offer Tibby a relaxed, peaceful home, she might be the perfect match for you.

To arrange a meet-up with Whitney or Tibby, fill out the apply to adopt form on the Wollongong City Council website. A council officer will contact you to arrange a meet and greet with your potential new furry friend at a convenient location to you. Coco and Tobasco come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm checked and lifetime registered.

Previous Wollongong Pet Connection Cat of the week, Haku, has found his forever home, but Dog of the Week Narla is still looking for hers.
