Man dies in one vehicle accident on Appin Road

A man has died after his car left the road and rolled at Maddens Plains, north of Wollongong.

Police say emergency services responded at 8:20 am on New Year’s Day to reports that a vehicle had rolled in the southbound lanes of Appin Road, Maddens Plains.

The male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died before emergency services personnel reached the scene of the accident.

Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
