Wollongong police want to speak with a man after a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured in a crash on the Blue Mile last month.

Emergency services were called to Cliff Road, North Wollongong, at about 7:40 pm on Sunday 31 March, after reports of a crash involving a scooter and an e-scooter.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider of the scooter, a 10-year-old boy, with head injuries, and he was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a serious condition.

The rider of the e-scooter assisted but left the scene before police arrived.

Police have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, medium build, with short black hair, wearing a black T-shirt, long black pants and shoes.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
