Woman dies in hospital following Warrawong brawl

A woman stabbed in a Warrawong brawl last month has died, police say.

The woman was taken to Wollongong Hospital on Wednesday, 22 November, after emergency services were called to Wegit Way, Warrawong, about 6:30 pm following reports of a brawl.

When the officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District arrived, they found a 39-year-old woman in a critical condition with stab wounds.

NSW Police say detectives were told on Saturday, 2 December, that the woman had died in Wollongong Hospital.

An adult and six teenagers have been charged over the matter and remain before the courts.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
